Today, VéloPartage in Geneva is one of the leading soft mobility solutions, offering a self-service bicycle and electric bike service with more than 600 stations throughout the canton. Here’s a closer look at VéloPartage.

VéloPartage in Geneva?
Launched in summer 2020, VéloPartage is the result of a partnership between the Danish operator Donkey Republic and the local association Genèveroule, renowned for its social commitment and technical expertise in bicycle maintenance.
The network has more than 600 stations spread across 22 municipalities in the canton, including around 370 in the City of Geneva, with a recent fleet of more than 1,400 bicycles, more than a third of which are electrically assisted. The dense coverage ensures that a hire or return point is never far away, facilitating all types of journeys, whether occasional, daily or multimodal.
The growing success of the service since 2023* has enabled us to increase the number of bicycles, extend the network geographically and diversify the range of fares on offer, including through student and corporate partnerships. The density of the network continues to increase, as do the rental options (standard bikes, e-bikes, weekend passes, group passes). Innovations are being introduced on a regular basis: new stations, cargo bikes that can be booked in advance, and the gradual integration of data with cantonal mobility apps.
