Welcome to the annual Rendezvous in the Gardens, a springtime event to discover places in bloom, wooded parks and green spaces in every region of France.
Rendez-vous in the gardens?
From 5 to 7 June, the theme of this year’ s Rendez-vous in the Gardens is ” Sight“, and you’re invited to discover nature through sight, of course, but also through hearing, from the sound of leaves to the songs of birds, through smell, with the thousand scents of flowers and plants, and through touch, with the diversity of materials and tactile sensations in the gardens.
The programme includes guided tours, lectures, meetings with the gardeners, demonstrations, concerts, shows, exhibitions and evening openings.
More than 2,200 public and private parks and gardens in France are taking part in the event, along with dozens of other places to discover in several European countries.
In the regions of France
Public and private owners in every region of France and Europe are actively involved in this annual event, with many gardens and parks to discover throughout the country.
A wide variety of gardens are open to visitors, some on an exceptional basis:
medieval gardens, regular gardens, landscape park gardens, botanical gardens, food gardens, exotic gardens…
The programme includes guided tours, demonstrations of skills, workshops and exhibitions across France’s départements and communes.
The aim of these days is to encourage meetings and exchanges between the public and all those involved in gardens: owners, gardeners, horticulturists, landscapers, etc.

For several years now, a number of European countries have been associated with the event, including :
Andorra, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Monaco, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Spain and Switzerland.
