The event was born out of the passion and determination of an association of seafarers, now 400 strong, which has succeeded in mobilising the local population, associations, institutions and the maritime world as a whole. This synergy has propelled Escale à Sète to the rank of leading maritime event in the Mediterranean, attracting more than 300,000 visitors around 120 traditional boats and nearly a thousand players from the maritime world.
